Flexible and stainless metallic fibres for concrete road works
FIBRAFLEX metallic fibres improve the mechanical properties and durability of concrete and mortar used in road building, for new build and for repair work. The "concrete + fibres" solution is used in the following applications :

Concreting in manhole covers and paving slabs, etc...

Concreting in street furniture such as benches and signposts, etc... |

Road or pavement joints

Roads, bus stops, access ramps and runways (new build and repairs) |

Street furniture made from high performance concrete
Utilisation
The fibres are added to the concrete or mortar during the mixing of the dry components. The resulting mix is then cast. Finishing is done easily using a float or a straight edge.
Typical dosage : from 10 to 20 kg/m³

Example: concreting in manhole covers
The proposed solution is a sealing mortar reinforced with FIBRAFLEX FF20E0 fibres.
Advantages compared to a solution without fibres :

25 % increase in flexion resistance

25 % less shrinking

Better durability due to the non-oxidising fibres

Better resistance to thermal or mechanical fatigue
Advantages for the end user :

Reduced time needed for the job

2 hours for a quick setting mortar

Increased lifetime for concrete seals

Long term resistance to cracking (stainless fibres)
